Egerton Primary School’s first sports teams took on the coaches on Agar Field this morning (Thursday).
It was a fun activity before the school closes for the midyear holidays and the sporting season also takes a break for a while.
The teams that took part were the girls’ first hockey team and the boys’ first hockey team.
It was competitive fun as the Egerton teachers showed they still have what it takes to run around the field and show off their sporting prowess. Adding to the fun was the netball match between the girls’ first netball team and the boys’ first rugby team.
It’s quite different shooting a ball through a hoop than running and scoring a try or kicking a rugby ball through the posts, as the amused boys found out.
Great fun was had by all!
