Eqhweni Combined Primary School and Youth Development Team would like to thank all learners and teachers who were involved in Language Festival Competition.
The competition started at school level.
Learners participated in different categories and were selected for ward elimination.
During ward elimination that was held in Kwazamokuhle, learners did very well and managed to go through to CMC level.
Competition increased and as elimination continued, learners showed effort, courage, dedication and resilience.
They were one foot short before they could reach provincial level of elimination as they bowed out of the competition at district level.
Eqhweni learners obtained third place in grades three, four and five – group poetry and third place in grades three, four and five – individual poetry.
These learners received medals and trophies for their marvellous achievement.
That was not the end of the story as the school was placed third in the Senior Phase recital of the Preamble of the Constitution of South Africa.
The learners and educators could not conceal their delight for such an achievement.
The school is really striving for excellence so says their motto.
