Vryheid Round Table – ‘Knights’ brave the cold for a worthy Winter cause

AS PART of the annual Winter Knights initiative, members of the Vryheid Round Table traded their warm Winter woolies for shorts and T shirts to demonstrate the discomfort that many people face during the cold Winter months.
Putting themselves in the shoes of those less fortunate on Thursday evening, June 26, these brave ‘Knights’ of Vryheid’s Round Table gathered at the entrance of Pick ‘n Pay to collect non-perishable food items, blankets and clothing from Vryheid’s generous community, in aid of charity, wearing only shorts and T shirts.
Earlier that day, Michelle Landman and her team at Rosella in Church Street handed over a generous donation to the Round Table in aid of this worthy cause in the form of approximately 210 blankets.
Anyone interested in donating to the Round Table’s Winter Knights campaign can drop off donations at PG Glass in Vryheid, or alternatively look out for the ‘Knights’ outside Spar on Thursday, July 3.
