Wonderland Pre-Primary School recently held its mini-athletics day.

The day was an extremely colourful event, attended by family members who dressed up in various colours in support of their children’s colour group.

With warm weather, lively music and cheering crowds, the pupils participated confidently.

The items differed from the usual activities of a mini-athletics day, as pupils had to apply not only their physical skills, but also their intellectual, perceptual, cognitive and reasoning skills.

The pupils displayed their school readiness skills and development with excellent speed, irrespective of seemingly complicated items.

While the children were the main participants in the mini-athletics day, parents also took part with enthusiasm and won gold medals for their achievements.

All pupils received gold figurines and variety of goodies in party packs.

The top fund-raisers for the day were Adrav Singh, Saiyur Maharaj and Giselle Wells.

Wonderland management and staff would like to thank everybody for their support, especially the sponsors of the prizes and refreshments.
