Sports awards for Treverton College learners

Other juniors to receive Laurel Awards were Danielle Warren for KZN cricket, Catherine Pellow-Jarman for Mountain Biking and Micaela Sclanders for Triathlon

During second term, the College made a number of sports awards for achievements in the previous term.
Swimming Captain, Sam Scherer was rewarded with Honours for the sport; he had a very successful swimming year.
He was senior Victor Ludorum at the College’s Inter-House gala and the U19 Victor Ludorum at the Co-Ed gala in Pietermaritzburg.
Fellow team members Jenna Malcolm and Ivan van Zuydam were awarded colours.
They are both versatile at sport.
Jenna also received colours for Indoor Hockey and Ivan received colours for Athletics and half-colours for cricket.
Jeanne Botha, Kate Armitage and Nondumiso Zuma also received colours for Indoor Hockey.
A number of athletes were recognised for their outstanding performances at major events. Eugh Nyakabau and Ayanda Thusma were awarded honours for athletics; and full colours were awarded together with Ivan to Valentine Masinyane, Marco Marais. Bophelo Seoe, Niamh Delaney and Brooke Cunah-Johnson received a Laurel award for athletics.
Other juniors to receive Laurel Awards were Danielle Warren for KZN cricket, Catherine Pellow-Jarman for Mountain Biking and Micaela Sclanders for Triathlon.
The successful cricket team that won all their five matches at the Alex Cricket Festival, won the Sunfoil 20/20 and all their games on their tour to Johannesburg, also received recognition; Tristan Pickering, Don Paterson, Andrew Tilbury and Craig Warren were all awarded full colours. Brent Kennard who received half-colours for cricket received full colours for tennis.
The roles were reversed with Don Paterson now receiving half-colours for tennis together with Mogorosi Badisang. The girls who received half-colours for tennis were Anja Kanzler, Sasha Botha, Kate Armitage and Maritia Louw.
