The day finally came when the people of Sithembile got to know what local entrepreneurs have got in store for them. Simphiwe Kunene and Melusi Ndima finally launched their company, Impilo Group Entities, last week at the Amakhemfundo hall in Sithembile.
Among the dignitaries present were Sakhosizwe stokvel ambassadors, who introduced their newly-created programme to people who form part of grocery stokvels. Mr Freek Pistorius, Development Manager for Liberty, explained about the relationship Impilo Group Entities shares with Liberty.
Local leaders, Mr Enos Ndima and Mrs Zwane, were also present at the launch. The day was filled with excitement and fun, with some of the residents walking back home with a little something extra, as prizes were up for grabs.
Impilo Group Entities is a financial service provider which falls under the Liberty Group, and is aimed at changing people’s lives. It provides real empowerment through the collective value of money to emerging market economic groups such as burial societies, stokvels and the youth.
Ambassadors from the Sakhisizwe stokvel were also present to explain how they operate, and how people who have food stokvels can make more money for their organisation by using Unilever products.
