Students of Estcourt did not only play a part in saving precious human life this past week, but also did a noble act for the society as a whole.
Learners from various high schools came out in their numbers and were ready to save the lives of others with a precious pint of plasma.
On Tuesday, July 29 Estcourt Secondary School had 48 students attend, 17 of them being new blood donors and 39 donated a pint each of rescuing plasma.
On Wednesday, July 30 at Estcourt High School 52 pupils attended, 46 donated plasma and of those seven were new donors.
On Thursday, July 31 Drakensberg Secondary School 59 learners attend the clinic, 52 made a donation and 12 were new blood givers. The South African National Blood Service and the Clinic Co-ordinator Mr SM Dawoonarain would like to thank all schools and donors for support shown.
