Phumelelani Primary excels in Uthukela district

Phumelelani Primary School in Rosedale (Loskop) emerged victorious by snatching a number of trophies and medals

Just before the end of term two, the Estcourt CMC hosted the annual Uthukela District Language Festival where primary schools participated.
The theme was ‘South Africa celebrates 20 years of democracy.’
Phumelelani Primary School in Rosedale (Loskop) emerged victorious by snatching a number of trophies and medals in the following categories:
Foundation phase (grade one to three) – first places in poetry individual (isiZulu), story telling (English) and poetry group (isiZulu) and second place in drama (isiZulu).
Intermediate phase (grade six) – first position – poetry individual (isiZulu).
Senior phase (grade seven) – third place- story telling (English).
Mpembe Musawenkosi, an intermediate phase learner will be representing the school, circuit, CMC and district in the provincial level of elimination, which will be hosted at Estcourt High School in August.
The SGB, SMT and teachers are very grateful and excited about this achievement.
They would like to congratulate the teachers and learners for participating in this initiative and flying the school’s flag high.
