On Saturday, August 2 Ichthus hosted their annual athletics meeting, which was approached with great enthusiasm! Ichthus was blessed with wonderful weather. Congratulations to all the participants who performed well.

The following athletes were awarded with trophies and medals: Junior Victrix Ludorum: Amy-Faith Stein, Bianca Meintjes; Junior Victor Ludorum: Hamish Grierson; Senior Victrix Ludorum: Alwande Mkhize; Senior Victor Ludorum: Jan-Frederik van Zyl.
Best U/9 boy: Siphume Ntombela; best U/9 girl: Owethu Mbatha; best U/14 boy: Nkululeko Malunga. Best individual achievement of the day: Jan-Frederik van Zyl for U/13 javelin with a total of 886 points on the ASA table.

Congratulations to the Blue team on receiving the winning trophy, as well as the trophy for Best Spirit.

Ichthus thanks Dundee High School for the use of their athletics facilities. Thank you to all the teachers and parents who are involved in training the athletes during the season and who helped as officials. Ichthus looks forward to the Northern KZN Athletics meeting which Ichthus will be hosting this weekend, August 16, at the Dundee High School fields.
