‘Naked chef’ treats hikers

Madaka offers a variety of overnight and hunting facilities, with a beautiful lapha where meals can be enjoyed and a swimming pool.

The ladies of the Jack ‘n Jill Hiking Club and the ‘naked chef’ had an amazing hike at Madaka on the weekend of July 26.
Madaka offers a huge variety of wildlife and the views are spectacular. The owner, Izak, took the hikers up to the beautiful waterfall from where the hike started, following the river in the valley back to a well-maintained campsite.

The braai, with the help of Petri (the ‘naked chef’) was a major success, ending off with lovely milk tart. Soon after supper the hikers were treated to a game drive; the game rangers are well-trained and the hikers saw lots of buck and black wildebeest. On Sunday morning the ‘naked chef’ treated all to a fantastic brunch before they returned home.

Madaka offers a variety of overnight and hunting facilities, with a beautiful lapha where meals can be enjoyed and a swimming pool. Madaka is adjacent to the Ithala Game Reserve.
This month’s hike will be at the Royal National Park.
