Alfas on show

All the Alfa fans arrived in their Alfa's ready to begin

An awesome day was held at the Alfa Concourse Competition, on Sunday, August 3 in Ashburton.
All the Alfa fans arrived in their Alfa’s ready to begin this event. All models, shapes, sizes and colours were present. The judges began their days work, and boy was it a job! The interior of every car entered was scrutinised, seats, upholstery, mats, carpets, pedal rubbers, roof lining, dashboard, steering wheel, gauges, switches, doors, handles, sills, hinges, locks, and the general appearance. Then the judges move to the exterior.
Fit of doors, boot, bonnet, paint work, dents and scratches, windows, lights, indicators and the general appearance.
Now comes the engine and here they judge everything as well.
Wiring, battery, carburettors, radiator, etc. The chassis is also judged. Frame, wheel arches, suspension, gearbox, exhaust, the lot. Finally all the cars were judged and now the tallying of the results takes place.
So whilst they are doing that, the Alfa Club members and families socialise over lunch.
The winners are then announced and Pieter Keyter and Jose were the winners in their respective categories. Well done guys!
