SANBS hosts blood camp at Lincoln Heights Secondary
The camp received an enthusiastic response and students across all grades volunteered to donate blood.
The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) hosted an early morning blood camp at Lincoln Heights Secondary School (LHS) on August 12. The camp received an enthusiastic response and students across all grades volunteered to donate blood. “Schools are our richest source of blood, and we seek to create committed donors by educating and encouraging pupils to participate in our blood camps. Without their regular donations of blood, we would not be able to operate as efficiently” said SANBS spokesperson.
The aim of the SANBS is to supply the South African community with safe, sufficient blood and encourages the local community to donate blood regularly.
The SANBS wishes to thank LHS for hosting the event as well as all pupils who donated blood and hopes to collaborate with them again in future.
