A shocking game of ‘rape rape’ played by schoolchildren has been exposed by teachers and principals at Western Cape schools. In this game, the main objective is to simulate ‘rape’ with girls who are willing participants. The boys chase and catch the girls and once she has been ‘raped’ she is out of the game. The game ends when the last girl has been ‘raped’.
According to the Cape Times and News24 fears have surfaced that this game could ‘normalise’ this violent behaviour to children, especially young girls. An investigation will be launched by the provincial education department which was horrified by the news.
