Ichthus hosts Northern-KZNCSSA athletics
With heavy clouds looming, Ichthus was thankful that the weather held out and a full day of athletics could be enjoyed. Well done to everyone who participated.
On Saturday, August 16 Ichthus hosted the annual Northern-KZNCSSA athletics. Athletes from Ichthus Christian School, Domino Servite School and Estcourt Christian Academy challenged one another to obtain a space in the NKZNCSSA team. This team will be participating in Durban on August 29 and 30 against other Christian schools in KZN.

The results were as follows: best U/9 boy: Siphume Ntombela; U/11 Junior Victor Ludorum: Hamish Grierson; U/13 Junior Victor Ludorum: Jan-Frederik van Zyl. The award for the best individual performance of the day: Jan-Frederik van Zyl (U/13) for boy’s javelin, with 862 ASA points.
The following record, by an Ichthus learner, was improved: boys’ U/13 High Jump – Vukile Buthelezi.
Ichthus learners did extremely well and their team spirit was positive and enthusiastic! Ichthus would like to thank all the staff and parents for their hard work before and during this event. Thank you to Mr Haschke, Mr Fraser, Mr Vogel and Mr Pypers from Dundee High School for the use of their athletics facilities.
