Firefighters battle Commet Street blaze

The fire is believed to have been started by an electrical fault.

Firefighters rushed out in the early hours of the morning to Commet Street after a fire broke out at one of the houses.

It is believed that an electrical fault is to blame for the blaze which destroyed everything in the building.

Thankfully no one was at the property when the fire started.

August has been full of fiery drama. A veld fire fire ravaged the Cragieburn area after residents could not contain the runaway flames.

Correctional Services in Glencoe also felt the heat when a blaze broke out there.

Sadly the fires did claim a life. Tyrone Fitzpatrick  was killed when a fire broke out at his Glencoe home.
