FOR LOCALS who are sick of the ”same old-same old” where music is concerned, Bio-soul is here to save the day.
With promises of innovation, quality and shaping the scene in a different but good structure, this duo is really a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
Bio-soul consists of two young men by the names of Benedict Mhlongo and Nqobile Chirwa and they are on a mission to change your views on music forever.
The Vryheid-born artists who are currently based in Pretoria began what they call a journey through Lounge, Acid jazz, instrumental, funk, Break beats, Down-tempo, Lo-fi and ‘Deep House’ music back in 2010.
Lost? Well in simpler terms, these artists basically bring that zest of life to soulful and jazzy tunes.
They bring that “Whole new world” Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle sang about.
“We really do not have a specific target audience, we make sure that we cater for everyone both the young and the old. We enjoy playing jazz for the elderly and reminding them of the good old days and we both share a philosophy that jazz is the foundation of music.”
Read more about these artistic souls in this weeks Vryheid Herald.
