The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) has a few good-looking dogs up for adoption.
A male Jack Russell was found about a week ago between Ladysmith and Bergville, and is hoping that his owners come to get him.
The league has a number of cute black Boerboel puppies, both male and female, that are looking for a loving home. A brown crossbreed female is also looking for a home.
A fun day will be held at the court cricket premises in Fairclough Road on September 13. Presented by Harcourts, Tugela Press and Veronica Abrahamse, the day is aimed at raising funds for the AACL. It will start at 9am and end at 4pm. You can book a table to sell food or other products at R50 a table, and there will be a dog show at 1pm (R20 a dog). People can also play court cricket on the day at a cost of R15. To book a table, call Veronica on 072-368-7402.
Another upcoming event in support of the AACL is ‘Rock this Country’, which will be presented by Thatchers Bar Theatre on October 4.
