Sam’s making good progress

Sam suffered in an accident which resulted his left leg being shattered in four places.

When Sumeer Mungal rode his motorcycle down Willson Street on July 26, little did he know his life would change forever when the robot struck green.
Sumeer Mungal, also known as ‘Sam the Barber’, suffered in an accident when his motorcycle swerved into another vehicle which turned in front of him. This resulted in his left leg being shattered in four places.
He was rushed to Madadeni Hospital and underwent an emergency operation. Sam not only injured his leg, but fractured his left arm and toes as well. He was later transferred to Greys Hospital in Pietermaritzburg, where he is being treated for his injuries.
In an interview with the Courier, Sam described in vivid detail how the accident occurred and how he is recovering well. However, the aftermath of the accident has left Sam in a tight financial position as he is unable to work.
As a result, a few community members have banded together to assist him. However, more assistance is needed and an urgent appeal to loyal customers and fellow Dundonians to help has been raised. You can help by kindly donating money.
Your donations can be submitted to Michelle Naidoo, who can be contacted on 079 252 8075 or 034 393 2807. Sam would also like to make an appeal for someone to man his barber shop temporarily in his absence – if you are interested in helping please contact the number above.
