Water interruptions continue

On Tuesday a burst water pipe in Lorne Street caused water interruptions in the CBD and on Wednesday, this extended to the residential areas

Water interruptions have affected homes and businesses in Estcourt yet again.
The central business district (CBD) and residential areas like Forderville, Colita and Papkuilsfontein have been affected. On Tuesday a burst water pipe in Lorne Street caused water interruptions in the CBD and on Wednesday, this extended to the residential areas.

The Uthukela District Municipality call centre (086 010 4257) operator said that a “big problem” was being attended to near the Railway Station. Water was restored on Wednesday afternoon. A resident in Forderville complained that water delivery trucks were unreliable.

On Thursday morning residents in parts of Ward Six had no water. The district municipality communications department was unaware of the water interruptions in Estcourt and promised to follow-up and provide the Estcourt News with more information for readers.
