Standard Bank systems crash
Customers left fuming after banks systems crash.
Standard Bank customers were left fuming when the banks systems were down nationwide for most of the day.
People could not access any of the services offered resulting in many leaving their full trolleys at tills because they couldn’t pay with their cards. Some even reported having to wait at petrol stations as their cards were declined.
“We would like to reassure our customers that their overall experience with Standard Bank and the services we offer remains our top priority and we regret any inconvenience caused,” said Funeka Montjane, Standard Bank’s Chief Executive: Personal and Business Banking.
Services have since been restored following action by the banks internal technical team.
