In an exciting day of educational fun, 39 learners from Emthunzini School, as well as their principal, Mrs SM Mthombeni, and educators and helpers from the school, toured Vryheid recently.

They visited the Abaqulusi Municipality Information Bureau, Museum and completed the tour at the Golden Peak Spur with refreshments.

At the tourism office, Mrs Alet Swanepoel, an ideal ambassador for the town of Vryheid and a shining example of the hospitality that makes our little town such a popular destination for tourists across the board, encouraged the learners to promote tourism at home and at their school.

“Visiting Vryheid is an experience for many children who live on the outer areas of town as Vryheid is filled with heritage and culture,” says Mrs Swanepoel.
