Anglican Church thieves nabbed

Men brought to book for the stealing from the church.

Two men have been arrested and charged for the burglary of the St Mary’s Anglican Church in Glencoe.

Bafana Msibi and Sakhile Mthimkulu of Glencoe were arrested by Detective W/O Maharaj and Sgt Mngomezulu and were found guilty in court of the burglary.

They will be sentenced on September 25.

The church, on Damman Street, has been a constant target of thieves and vandals.

In June, thieves made off with a stainless steel cross and caused R2 000 worth of damage to the church.
