A BIG congratulations to Mia Olivier, who participated in the KZN Gymnastics Qualifier in Pinetown this past weekend.
She managed to achieve fourth place in her age group and obtain enough points to qualify for the team that will represent Kwazulu Natal at the South African Gymnastics Games. These will be held in Cape Town in October. Well done, Mia. We are so proud of you and wish you the best of luck!
Cricket: Last Tuesday, the u/11 cricket team played their last game of the season against NRS. The boys played beautifully and won the game comfortably. The top batsman was once again Mthobisi Dlamini, with his 52 runs not out, and the top bowler was Mpumelelo Mazibuko with three wickets for five runs. We would also like to congratulate Reghan Elliot; Mthobisi Dlamini and Liam Watson, who were selected for the u/11 Vryheid District Cricket Team. Well done boys!
The u/13 boys played against Lucas Meyer last week. We batted first, but could only score 67 runs before we were all out, due to some nifty bowling by LMS. The best batsman was Cameron Aitken, who scored 20 runs. Congratulations to the LMS side who played some good cricket.
Mini Cricket: Our u/7 and u/8 Mini Cricket teams played friendly matches against Lucas Meyer last week and we won both matches.
Thank you to Lucas Meyer for having us!
