Cricket: Last Tuesday, our u/11 team played against Michaelis and lost the match by 80 runs. On Thursday, September 11, our u/13 team also met with stiff competition from the visiting Lüneburg team. Batting second, NRS managed to score 32 runs for 10 wickets and as a result, lost the match by 103 runs. Our best batsman was Andile Madi with six runs. Joshua Stride was our best bowler when he took two wickets for 28 runs.
Karnallie and Nardini concerts: Last Thursday, the Afrikaans Grade 1 class went to watch the concert of Karnallie and were thrilled by the cute costumes. The rest of NRS had the privilege of watching Nardini’s delightful concert, “Rock and Read”. Everybody enjoyed the variety of acts, song and dance, and choral verse. Thank you, Nardini, for a warm reception and congratulations on an excellent show!
NRS concert: NRS will stage its pantomime, “What on earth!” from October 20 to 24. A space ship lands on planet earth and the three aliens are introduced to daily activities on earth by means of drama, music and dance. Tickets are available at the school office at R40-00 per person.
Dates to remember:
September 23: Sport photo day
September 24: Heritage day
September 25: u/13 cricket vs Pongola (h)
