The Bashalonians team, made up of Johnny, Kid and Pops, won the potjie competition held at Chelmsford Primary School on August 30.

Organiser Kid Smith said that the potjies were donated to the school to be sold to help with fundraising. Kid said their recipe was the most popular on the day and he thanked those who bought food to help raise funds.

He said the aim of this competition was to help disadvantaged learners from low-income households who attend Chelmsford Primary. He invited other business-people to come forward to assist in the future and warmly thanked this even’t generous sponsors: Taurus Cars, Super Cars and Newcastle Autoworx.
