Say yes please for cheese

The idea of this workshop is to teach people how to make cheese in their own kitchen.

Jean Hardy led an informative cheese making seminar at the Methodist Church Hall on Saturday.

With 15 years of experience, Mrs Hardy was more than qualified to share her expertise acquired by trial and error.

“I started making cheese while living on a farm. I could not deal with all the good milk going to the pigs and decided to make cheese,” she said.

“The idea of this workshop is to teach people how to make cheese in their own kitchen. All the necessary ingredients can be found in the shop and people do not need special equipment or moulds.”.

Attendees were astounded when they realised cheese making was a skill that could easily be mastered and practised in many creative ways.
