THERE seems to be no end in sight to the current municipal strike. In the meantime the public who need to pay electricity and water accounts can do so at PICK AND PAY, CHECKERS , SPAR, SHOPRITE, or THE POST OFFICE.
As much as it seems crazy, the only arrangement that the traffic department could make with the authorities in Pietermaritzburg was to renew vehicle licenses in PAULPIETERSBURG.
As far as the Municipal Manager is concerned we now have to wait for a decision of the court next month. In the meantime there is no Municipal Manager, acting or otherwise. The situation is very serious with sabotage being the order of the day.
Our thanks go to the public who have helped in one way or another.
It is almost unbelievable that despite all this unrest there are still people busy cleaning up the Paddadam for which we thank them.
Please be patient and pray that things will come right sooner than later.
