Severe storm warning issued
Northern KwaZulu-Natal has been put on high alert as severe thunderstorms approach the area.
The South African Weather Service has issued a strong warning of severe thunderstorms in the area.
Weather SA has predicted a 60% chance of thunderstorms in provinces including KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, the Free State, and North West.
The thunderstorms are expected to hit parts of Northern KwaZulu-Natal including Dundee, Newcastle and Ladysmith.
The heavy rains have already caused power outages in the area.
