A fusion of dance, dining and entertainment to celebrate Diwali at Blackrock

For the fourth consecutive year, Blackrock Casino in is set to celebrate the Hindu ‘Festival of Lights’ – Diwali.

For this year’s celebrations, Blackrock will be hosting Durban entertainers, AfroFusion!

The AfroFusion cast, currently taking South Africa by storm, will be performing at the old ‘kiddies area’ of Blackrock Casino on Saturday, October 4 from 7pm to10pm.

“We host different entertainers each year, keeping the event fresh and exciting,” said Veneshrie Chetty, Blackrock Casino Marketing Manager. “Last year’s show was centred around comedy, song and dance. Keeping with this celebratory theme, the AfroFusion cast brings a unique blend of high energy entertainment through music, song and dance.”

“The show’s star attraction and the ‘King of Entertainment’, Rajiv Mothie, is all set to keep the crowd spell bound,” she added.

A buffet dinner will be served offering delicious, traditional options from chicken, lamb and vegetarian curries to sweetmeats and soji dessert.

“Having reached full capacity for the three previous annual Diwali events, tickets for the Blackrock Casino Diwali celebration are bound to sell quickly. Head down to the casino cash desk to purchase your ticket and ensure you do not miss out. There are only 150 spots available,” said Mrs Chetty.

Tickets will be R120 per person and R60 for children under the age of 12.
