Dagga cops found not guilty

Court finds police officers not guilty of selling dagga.

A sergeant and three constables of Nhlanhleni (Pomeroy) SAPS, accused of selling marijuana, have been found not guilty.

The suspects were found in possession of 48, 15kg marijuana on the night of April 14.

The officers were alleged to have confiscated the dagga from a woman in the Pomeroy area, however, instead of booking it in with the police, they drove to Dundee with the intention of selling it.

The Dundee Magistrates Court found that there was not enough evidence to convict the suspects of the crime.
