Fun at annual LAC Nite Race

The participants included locals as well as runners from other countries

The annual Ladysmith Athletic Club (LAC) Nite Race took place on Saturday evening, starting and finishing at the LAC club in Klipbank Road.

The half-marathon (21km race) saw 150 runners taking part. The participants included locals as well as runners from other countries.

67 South African National Defence Force (SANDF) athletes incorporated their 21km National Championship into the LAC race.

Watering holes were dotted along the route, providing the athletes with much-needed refreshment as they pounded the tarmac on their way to the finish line. The four water tables were provided by Toshiba, Dunlop Tyres, Aquafin and Emnambithi Striders.

The race was sponsored by Drakensberg Logistics.

LAC would like to thank all the helpers, club members and Public Safety for their help and support. SeeĀ  gallery for more photos.
