Treverton ‘s third school term ended a week before state schools, and the staff and pupils were sad to bid farewell to two popular teaches who are both immigrating.

Grade seven teacher Stephen Meyer leaves Treverton to take up a teaching post in Singapore. He had taught at Treverton since 2010 and was involved in environmental education, accompanying his students on excursions and prepared them for their high school careers. He also coached sport.

College bid farewell to a multi-talented teacher; Jason Hyam.He was a star musical performer in the College productions of “Annie” and “Hairspray” … coached to the first XV that has won the Dowker Trophy in the annual derby against Weston; three times in four years.

Changing the shape of the ball, he turned from second term rugby to third term soccer and from coaching boys to girls. As the coach of the first girls’ soccer team, he saw them win the 2013 Midlands Girls’ Soccer League.He was the school’s Sports Co-ordinator and organised the College’s annual Sports Festival for the past three years. He is immigrating to Australia.
