Barbel Bash this weekend

Mike’ Boat Shop and the Natal Artificial Lure Angling Club are hosting the 2014 Barbel Bash at Chelmsford Dam on October 25. The competition starts from the Newcastle Aquatic Club house at 6:00am. This is a boat only fishing competition. The entry fee is R200.00 per angler. The first prize is a fishing boat with a 2.5hp motor, the second prize is a rubber dingy with an electric sneaker motor. There will be fish finders up for grabs plus a lot of consolation prizes. The picture shows Johan Venter who was the overall winner of the 2013 Barbel Bash with this massive barbel.
