Update: Bystanders chant “murderer”

Bystanders who were in the Engen Wimpy parking area witnessed the hand-over of the suspect (in the Bafana Bafana captain murder case) and recognised him from the SAPS identification kit as one of the men wanted in connection with the Senzo Meyiwa murder.

People were heard chanting “murderer” and “rot in jail”.

According to service station staff, they noticed a Golf Gti in a parking bay and men standing around the vehicle. Only when a TRT vehicle arrived did they witness the hand-over of the suspect.

That’s when the commotion began, as bystanders exchanged words with the suspect in the vehicle. The Gti then took off.
