Captain in SAPS and as a fisherman

Captain ZS Langa (Ladysmith SAPS Social Crime Prevention Commander) recently attended the National Fresh Water Angling Championships that were held at Bloemhof Dam.

The event catered for teams from eight of the nine provinces. The Free State did not participate this year.

The capable captain had to play two roles at the event. Firstly, he was appointed to head the KZN team. Between multi-tasking the duties of team captain, he also had to fish at the same time in order to keep his scores high. The captain bagged no less than 24 fish during the event.

His efforts did not go unrewarded, as the KZN team was placed second, after Gauteng province.
