Armed with yummy sweets and Christmas treats, Maritza Singh is spreading Christmas joy this festive season. Maritza spreads Christmas cheer when she hosts Christmas parties for underprivileged children at Glencoe Primary School.
This initiative was first founded in February 2013 and has brought immense joy and alleviated hunger for many children. When asked where her inspiration stemmed from, she beamed and said, “Just to see a smile on the poor kiddies face is enough for me”.
However, this feat cannot be accomplished alone and she proudly announced that she receives help from her husband. “I prepare everything with my husband only, but we don’t mind we enjoy it”.
This year the Christmas party will be on November 21 and boasts to be better than last year, with food, cakes, toys and a Christmas tree. When Maritza is not spreading Christmas joy she is preparing sandwiches and food for her feeding schemes.
