Bundles of fun, food and funds at fundraising dinner

Scents and aromas of freshly prepared treats filled the air, smiling faces and sounds of chattering and chuckles welcomed one as you entered the Saint John's Roman Catholic Church Hall

Saint John’s Roman Catholic Church’s fundraising committee saw the need to raise funds for the church house. After months of planning and preparation a successful fundraising supper was hosted to settle the needs of the church, on Saturday evening, November 15.

Scents and aromas of freshly prepared treats filled the air, smiling faces and sounds of chattering and chuckles welcomed one as you entered the Saint John’s Roman Catholic Church Hall. A lip smacking three coarse meal was severed to the attendants of the dinner. The dinner was well attended by the church’s congregation.

The opportunity presented itself as a chance to get to know one another and socialise over dinner. The funds raised from the tickets sold are to be used to repair the roof of the St John’s Church house. Amongst those present was Father John who is currently based in Durban.

On behalf of the church, Father Shoba expressed his appreciation.
He was both moved as well as touched by the generosity shown by the parish. If you would like to contribute towards this cause contact the Chairman Michael McKentee on 072 653 6359 or Chairlady Patience Kok on 072 400 8806.
