Vehicle rolls as driver tries to avoid cow

A VW Polo travelling towards Spioenkop Dam rolled on the R600 (Winterton road) this afternoon (November 22).

The driver allegedly swerved to miss a cow that was crossing the road. He subsequently lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road. The car crashed through a fence and rolled, landing back on its wheels again.

There were two occupants in the vehicle at the time, one of whom sustained slight injuries and the other moderate injuries. One of the injured was transported to hospital by Sharaj Ambulance Services.

RTI, Public Safety Bergville and towing services also responded to the scene.
