Teens say no to drugs

“Teenagers who get into trouble with drugs, often do so because they are not aware of the dangers,” said Lillian Gajoo from SANCA.
Ensuring teenagers were equipped with the necessary knowledge about drug abuse, Mrs Gajoo embarked on a 14-week course with children from Morester Children’s Home.
“The course entailed life skills, the classification of drugs, the different names of drugs and general awareness,” she explained.
The youngsters were eager to learn more and participated enthusiastically in discussions.
“I am very happy with the reaction I got from the children and it is good that they got so involved, because many of them will be leaving school soon,” Mrs Gajoo said.
Last Thursday, the pupils were awarded certificates for their participation in the course.
