Chaos erupts at Indoor Sports Complex
Medics attend to stabbing and rape victims
A number of people have been assaulted at the music festival that is being held at the Indoor Sports Complex today (Saturday).
Reports of as many as 10 stabbings have come through. Two of the victims are in critical condition, while some of the other injuries are said to be moderate. Sharaj medics treated the critically injured victims. Both Sharaj and EMRS attended to the other incidents, and transported the victims to hospital.
One rape has also been reported. EMRS treated the victim.
The festival, which began earlier today, had crowds streaming in throughout the day. Businesses in Murchison Street closed because there have been unpleasant incidents in the past due to the festival. The Engen garage closed at about 4pm.
