Update: Crowds and chaos galore at Nyusi Volume Festival

A total of 36 people had to be treated in hospital after chaos erupted at the Nyusi Volume Music Festival held last night (November 29) at the Indoor Sports Complex.

The grounds were cleared at 4.30am this morning (Sunday). However, people were still seen milling around the complex area at 6am.

Litter was strewn all over the place, especially towards the middle and lower part of Dry Road. In addition, lots of rubbish accumulated in the lower Van  Riebeeck Park area.

Thankfully, the litter scattered by festival-goers in Murchison Street was minimal in comparison to the area around the Indoor Sports Complex.

Municipal workers are expected to be busy for the better part of the day, as the clean-up begins.
