Bennie posts his love for all to see
After nine years Bennie De Beer invited the Courier to witness his act of love as he once did nine years ago when he proposed in Pretoria.
Jurita Malan got a pleasant surprise this morning on her way to work at Ichtus School. After nine years Bennie Malan, her husband, invited the Courier to witness his act of love as he once did nine years ago when he proposed in Pretoria. Bennie posted four posters leading to the front gates of the school.
The posters read “Jurita De Beer sal jy met my trou”. These are some of the posters which he used in Pretoria to propose to Jurita, when he put up 50 posters on Hans Strydom Street and the last one on his knee. “I was shivering,” he says jokingly.
Now, after nine years of marriage he decided to celebrate with his original idea. At 4am Bennie recreated the moment with the addition of two new posters, which read “Ek sal dit weer doen” and “En weer en weer”.
Jurita De Beer says she had no idea. “This was a great surprise,” she enthused.
