Drakensberg Secondary School achieved top position at the District GET Excellence Award for the second year in succession.Excellence was achieved at grade nine level in the following areas:English home language – first place – learner Ewonke Ndwandwe and educator Miss KS Sirijan. Afrikaans first additional language – first position – learner Tinita Prem and educator Mrs MS Ramroop.Natural Science – first position – learner Tinita Prem and educator Mr DM Naidoo. Mathematics – second position – learner Jiten Gopichund and educator NC Mabaso. IsiZulu – first additional language – second position – learner Philiswa Mnguni and educator MS Mabaso.The school was also awarded the Old Mutual Floating Trophy, which was received by the Principal Mr S Sewlal for being placed first in the senior phase in the entire district.Mr Sewlal extended his sincere gratitude to his team of dedicated educators for producing quality results, well done.
