The Uthukela Annual GET Excellence Awards Function was held at the Ladysmith Town Hall on Friday, November 28. The function is held to reward hard work in the GET band. Estcourt High School was placed joint second in the senior phase. The following grade nine learners and their educators received awards: Londeka Mbatha (English Home Language) – Educator: Miss S Bagirathi, Naazni Jagdew (Afrikaans First Additional Language – Educator: Mrs N Goodoon, Londeka Mbatha (Mathematics) – Educator: Mrs BE Vilakazi, Nelisiwe Mgabhi (Natural Science) – Educator: Mrs NG Sithole, Andiswa Mpembe (EMS) – Educator: Mr SN Khanyile and Sheldon Stork (Technology) – Educator: Mr PS Radebe.
