NARDINI had a very successful prizegiving and parents’ evening.

The children sang beautifully and presented an inspiring message on love. Congratulations to all the children who received prizes and diplomas. Congratulations to all our top achievers, all the hard work has brought great reward.

In grade seven we had the following achievers: Dux: Aliya Paruk, she also received the subject prizes for Maths and Social Science; The Harle General Knowledge: Namandla Dlamini; The Bishop Bilgerie for Good Fellowship: Siyabonga Ngubane; Mother Alexia trophy for outstanding academic achievement: Tayiba Sheik; Nkonzo Mhlongo Essay prize: Tebogo Sedise; Pam Friend Poetry prize: Linda Khumalo; Sports boy of the year: Ndumiso Nyawo; Sports girl of the year: Nonduduzo Zwane; Hockey player of the year: Nkosiko Yoyo; Hockey player of the year: Nosihle Simelane; Netball player of the year: Sanchia McDonald; Soccer player of the year: Ndumiso Nyawo; Traditional cultural dancers of the year: Zipho Sikhakhane and Noxolo Kunene; Chess player of the year: Linamandla Mngomezulu; Principal’s cup for all round excellence: Khaya Ntshangase; Pandor Trophy for Laudable Perseverance: Hloni Zondo and Manu Minlah; Damien Bruckner trophy for outstanding sportsmanship: Khaya Ntshangase.

The following subject prizes: Maths: Ayanda Basi; English: Husna Kathrada; Afrikaans,Natural Science, Diligence, Zulu first additional Language and Scripture: Tebogo Sedise; Zulu second additional Language: Husna Kathrada and Economic Management Science: Tayiba Sheik. Thank you to FNB for sponsoring the Economic Management prize.

We would like to congratulate past Nardini pupils who have been chosen as head boys at their schools for 2015, Mfundo Ngubane (Inkamana High); Lukhona Mpungose (Vryheid High) and Dalingcebo Maseko (Michael House). Deputy head boys for 2015 are Douglas Wood and Alex Nepile. You make us proud.

We also said goodbye to Mrs Smith who is retiring after 40 years of dedicated service at Nardini. We wish her a good rest and God’s blessing as she leaves us.

We wish all our learners, educators, parents and friends a peaceful Christmas and God’s blessing for the new year.
