House fire drama in Protea Street

Neighbours rushed to save two kids from a house on Protea Street, after a fire broke out in the home.

It is unclear how the fire started.

Firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the fire which started to burn the thatch roof of the house.

Assistant Disaster Manager, Lucky Mathambo, was also on scene to help control the blaze.

Thankfully no-one was injured in the fire.
