Vryheid Child Welfare – Fun Run/Walk for awareness

THANK you to everyone who supported our Fun Run/Walk against Woman and Child Abuse.

It was so nice to see the community walking or running with the Anti Woman and Child Abuse posters. The 16 Days of Activism is an international campaign highlighting the prevalence of violence against women and children, officially.

We would like to thank Andrew from Dee’s Restaurant for the venue as well as Gordon from Empire Dairy for the donation of water for the water point. The Vryheid High School Interact Students once again volunteered their help and, as always, did an amazing job in assisting with the marshalling.

We also want to thank the Vryheid Round Table for assisting us with the water point.

A special thank you to the Department of Sports and Recreation for the donation of medals and bottles.

This walk will hopefully be an annual event for Child Welfare and we hope to see you all again next year.
