Grandmother and grandchild die in Christmas Eve crash
Six lives lost in two separate accidents just before Christmas

A tragic accident along the Warden/Villiers Road on Christmas Eve claimed the lives of a grandmother and granddaughter.
60-year-old Renuka and 13-year-old Senobia Kaloo were on their way to Johannesburg when it is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to hospital, Renuka and Senobia were declared dead.
It is unclear at this stage exactly what happened.
The funeral will be held today (Saturday). The body will lie in state at 52 Protea Drive and thereafter proceed to the Crematorium at 2pm.
Social media sites are abuzz with messages of condolence.
In a separate accident on December 22 along the N11, four lives were lost. A well-known businessman, Mr Govender, and his 18-year-old son sadly passed away on scene.
