Spate of festive season accidents

Two people died in an accident that took place on the morning of December 13 on the Alcockspruit road. One of the deceased, Sazi Ndlela (24), died on the scene while another person died in hospital from the serious injuries he sustained.
Two other passengers were also seriously injured and rushed to hospital. It is believed that the vehicle overturned.
In another incident, one person died on the scene at Hiltop Farm road also on December 13. It is alleged that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and lost control of the vehicle casing it to overturn. One male, Vusi Ndlozi (37), died on the scene while another three passengers were seriously injured and rushed to Madadeni Hospital. It is alleged that the driver ran away after the accident. Investigations int the matter continues.
One person was also seriously injured in an accident that happened on the Alcockspruit road on December 14.
It is alleged that the driver was trying to answer a phone call when he lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.
The passenger was also injured.
