Amajuba High School’s Simphiwe Letlojane was awarded the top spot in the Amajuba District, with seven distinctions and a right to brag.
There is no doubt that Simphiwe went above and beyond to obtain the honour of being named the best of the best.
“My advice is to start studying from day one. From that day forward focus on the day you will be writing your final exams and remember how important it is. You will reap the fruits of your efforts in the end,” said an over-the-moon Simphiwe.
The teen obtained the following results: English Home Language- 86 per cent, Afrikaans First Additional Language- 94 per cent, Mathematics- 96 per cent, Life Orientation- 90 per cent, Geography- 91 per cent, Life Sciences- 94 per cent and a whopping 95 per cent for Physical Sciences.
In 2015, Simphiwe plans to study Actuarial Sciences at either the University of Cape Town or the University of the Witwatersrand, depending on where he gets accepted.
“He is a very dedicated pupil. He began preparing for the exams well in advance,” said Mrs Boshoff, Head of Department at Amajuba High School. “I’m glad all his hard work finally paid off.”
Simphiwe’s dedication and determination in achieving greatness is proof that hard work is never ignored.
